I own my own company too... In fact; at last count I've tried 14 different ventures over the past 20 years. Many of those had a net loss over the course of their life. As self-funded companies they have brought my income below zero. As a IT consultant with clients; that is unlikely to happen, though, and I have used such a business to fund a lot of my other ventures.
