The difference there is civil vs. criminal. I absolutely would support it if they were being charged with fraud, as in your example I would be charged with ass

The difference there is civil vs. criminal.
I absolutely would support it if they were being charged with fraud, as in your example I would be charged with assault. But a civil suit for such a small dollar amount typically goes to small claims court.

Which isn't a whole lot different than "fraud".
