I'm not at all knowledgeable in this subject, but wouldn't those methane emissions occur, regardless of if this method is used?
- ptrklly 12y agoIt has to do with whether the wood is decomposing in the presence of oxygen or not--the bacteria that cause decomposition in anaerobic environments emit more methane than the bacteria that cause decomposition in aerobic environments.
