Ask HN: What do you know about The Summit?

Our start-up was just admitted to the Alpha Program of The Summit [1]. However, after getting admitted, we were told that we could only exhibit for one day, instead of the full three. This, in combination with the fact that we must still pay for the attendee tickets-- no small cost for a bootstrapping company- and that we must decide/reply whether we will attend roughly 48 hours after being told we were accepted, raises some red flags in my mind.
