I'm thinking checking your phone while you are at dinner is probably a little faster than walking back to the house. And having a window up an running while you are in another room working is also probably faster. The baby is supposed to be sleeping, you don't need to walk into the room every 5 minutes to check. I'm also going to guess the use case is NOT for people without children.
