Teachers (male and female) typically reward boys for technical competence, and girls for "effort" (polish, pink unicorns, etc).
- tekalon 13y agoMy sister and I (mathematically and technically inclined) would always get this. I would always think that this was to help those that were not academic still get points for effort.
