I wear a kilt. "Dress implies sissy" seems like a personal problem rather than a factual statement. And if you're going to attack anyone for an icon then you should also be going after anyone who puts the typical "pants vs. skirts" bathroom signs up.
At some point icons are just icons, and you shouldn't define yourself based on the stereotypes the world uses to make communication clearer for all of us.
You don't see me complaining that the men's bathroom implies I should be wearing pants. I find it handy to be able to easily tell which door to go through.
