Most of Northern and western Europe are pretty easy for someone who only speaks English too. An English speaker would have little trouble getting by in Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, or Sweden, and probably a lot more countries as well. The languages are even similar enough that if you pick up a travel dictionary/phrasebook, you could probably even do it without bothering the locals too much.
