Normally, the lack of tooling support is the first thing that turns me off to attempts such as this to adjust fundamental aspects of the coding pipeline. In the context of C, however, you're up against a language (the preprocessor) that itself has only bare-minimum tooling support, so you've got a leg-up over similar projects in that regard. :)
