- eternauta3k 13y agoCheck out this book, I started my MIPS CPU reading it: D. A. Patterson, Computer organization and design: the hardware/software interface, 4th ed. Burlington, MA: Morgan Kaufmann Publishers, 2009.
- pmtarantino 13y agoSame for me. In our starter courser about processors, we were based on Patterson book and work with MIPS + Verilog.
- CSDude 13y agoYes, it was our course book and pretty comprehensive.
- jevinskie 13y agoThis is the one I did during university. It implemented a subset of MIPS. https://github.com/jevinskie/mips--/tree/master/project4/source https://github.com/jevinskie/mips--/tree/master/project4/sou... I would recommend anyone interested in VHDL to read this article about the programming style I used. I found it to be a great help. http://www.gaisler.com/doc/vhdl2proc.pdf http://www.gaisler.com/doc/vhdl2proc.pdf
- Zardoz84 12y agoSame but with VHDL. Plus we did before a simplified SPARC (ARC) cpu in VHDL.
