Any tips on how to make the update from beta 2 to final easy? I want to keep all my apps, aliases, .bashrc edits, etc. Thankfully, I don't do this often enough that I remember the process at 7 am?s

You should just be able to sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade. The release has newer packages than the betas & dailys, but they all point at the same repos.
