- dang 12y ago(> (karma user) downvote-threshold*) Right you are.
- danford 12y agoIs HN open source?
- benaiah 12y agoNo, but dang's a mod, so he has access to the source code.
- alecdbrooks 12y agoIt was open-sourced at least two years ago[0]. I believe it hasn't been since to prevent gaming of the system, but I don't remember where I heard that. - roghummal 12y agoSo security through obscurity? "Hacker News" always struck me as a misnomer. "VC-Startup-MBA-someone-will-come-post-interesting-things,because-the-site-is-simple-and-you-lynx/links-using-weirdos-love-that-shit-and-maybe-we-can-capitalize-on-that News" There we go. It's cool seeing how the other half lives but there's a reason I don't usually comment here. HN comments are on par with Slashdot (now, not then). This post gives me the impression that a foamy circle-jerk is the _objective_.
