They always say they are - they spam craigslist every week like clockwork - but I haven't heard of anyone being hired in quite awhile. There were rumors of a undisclosed hiring freeze awhile back; I wonder if things ever got better.
- nostrademons 17y agoQuite untrue - I was hired about 2 weeks after the "hiring freeze" was rumored. We have a Noogler starting in my department this week, so there's obviously not a hiring freeze. He's the first (in my department) since me and one other person were hired back in January, so the rate is obviously slow. I know a bunch of Nooglers that recently started on internal infrastructure projects though.
- sutro 17y agoYou have provided some excellent information here for people interested in getting a job at Google. You seem like a friendly, bright, and helpful person. So I say this with respect for you and for your own benefit. You must never, under any circumstances, ever use the word "Noogler" ever again.
