Sometimes the fastest solution to a problem is to get everyone in a room with a whiteboard and deal with it. There are ways to collaborate online, but none are as efficient as person to person. Also not everyone has a good internet connection or home office condusive to working 8 hours a day. I'm not saying people can't work from home ever, just that its not practical for the vast majority.
- lukasm 13y agoSure, but you need 2-10 people no 30 000. You definitely make remote teams work from remote offices. Also is the problem with executives in companies like Google. I believe a lot of them bought properties and they have no incentive to change the market dynamics. They working against company best interest.

- rwmj 13y agoOh I don't know. How about using something like a Google Hangout? I wonder if Google could use that?
- jophde 13y agoYou could always just buy or move to a place with good internet. Comcast Business class 50/10 is about $99/month. It's still a bit cheaper than commuting.
