Please stop using "fallacious" as a fancy way to say "wrong".
- mikeash 13y agoWhy?
- saraid216 13y agoBecause that's not what the word means. You're claiming that Crito's facts are wrong. That isn't a fallacy; that's a factual error. Example: If snakes are a type of tree, then snakes are plants. Snakes are a type of tree. Therefore, snakes are plants. There isn't a logical error here, but there is a factual error. The incorrectness comes from bad input, not bad reasoning.
- mikeash 13y agoI'm saying that the conclusion is wrong due to improper reasoning about relative motion. Furthermore, that this is a common way to reason incorrectly. The word is often used to describe common incorrect reasoning.
