We talked to some datacenters, and they said they've been playing with SSDs for a while (I don't remember whether they're offering this to all their customers yet). One interesting thing one mentioned is that with traditional SSDs, they see a noticeable drop in performance after the drive is about 1/3 full, which seems to come from the controller's need to remap and erase free sectors during downtime (which they don't get under enterprise loads). Our approach will let them use the entire drive up to capacity.
