This is fantastic, thanks for taking the time to write that out. (And my condolences to the author... I know very well how hard it is to have your work so thoroughly slammed but in this case it's important.) One minor nit; I believe there is a typo in the review which caused parsing problems on my end: The contact forward secrecy provides a design is... s/contact/contract ?
