I live in a small country town where a few decades ago people didn't lock their doors. I pack up my laptop when I go to the bathroom. If you think juggling your laptop and trying to keep a seat is a hassle, imagine having 3 young kids including a baby in a pram, being half way through a meal and one needs to go to the bathroom and needs help and you have a laptop and ipads and the bathroom is down some stairs. And when you get back the table has been cleared! BTW my takeaway from that is that adults or children need to go to the toilet in advance when it is most convenient, not when their bladder is bursting. Saves a lot of drama.
