The answer could be simple. As far as I know, RetailMeNot was one of the original coupon aggregators. (The domain was created in 2006.) It also seems to concentrate on natural SEO and does not seem to be cheating. Combine that with good quality content and you have solid SERPs.
- tlack 13y agoI'd love to know the nuts and bolts details of how they do it. I dug up some paid blog posts[1], but the links are rel=nofollow, so it doesn't seem like a link spam thing. - NoodleIncident 13y agoFinally, some confirmation! The similar names made me instantly wonder if there was a connection when I saw their booth at a career fair. During the entire interview process, though, no one I asked had even heard of BugMeNot, or knew if they were connected. It's just sad, really...
