Honest question: why is Python so dramatically more popular than Ruby for scientific computing?
- dagw 13y agoLibraries, libraries, libraries and history. The first serious numeric library for python was released in 1995 or 1996 and things have just grown and grown since then. Ruby is far behind in its offerings in this space.
