The reality is, there are not enough "best people" to go around. And, for that matter, it's probably arrogant to think that your idea is so hot that you need Google/Apple/Facebook-level talent. You are much better off figuring out which imperfections you can live with, ditching any lazy elitism ("only top schools") and looking in places that are not quite so over-fished.
