More automation -> Less jobs -> Lower wages -> More jobs -> Less automation I believe there's an equilibrium going on. I don't think we'll ever reach that point of automation, it will only happen when (and if) demographic growth turns negative. Until then, availability of cheap labour hinders "full automation".
