I wish Google would adopt the same approach and release some official apps for WP
- raldi 13y agoWhat's WP?
- Permit 13y agoWindows Phone
- ekianjo 13y agoFor a second I thought WP was for Wordpress :)
- MartinCron 13y agoThat's the relevance problem the author is talking about...
- bnolsen 13y agowordperfect
- nikcub 13y agoexactly.
- outside1234 13y agoGoogle is the new Microsoft. Which means they don't release apps for Windows Phone.
- raldi 13y agoCould you clarify your logic?
- outside1234 13y agoGoogle is not going to help Windows Phone succeed. Just like Microsoft didn't help the iPhone succeed by withholding office for years. We can argue on the effectiveness of those strategies but that is the strategy here.
- raldi 13y agoBut then how do you explain all the Google apps for iOS?
- outside1234 13y agoiOS had greater than Android market share when it was released. It still has significant share. Windows Phone does not. Did you know that Google Maps was released for Windows Mobile before iOS? That was when Windows Mobile had market share.
- raldi 13y agoSoooo... What you're saying.. is that Google focuses on writing software for platforms that have the most users. How does this prove they're the new Microsoft?
- nivla 13y agoI don't think its in Google's strategic view to release any official WP apps. Doing that would mean they would have to accept WP as competition. Windows 8 (Desktop) store on the other hand has a handful of official Google apps.
