I can't be the only one who has difficulty understanding what exactly the signal is when a board member steps down. >resigned because they had sought an outside hire to work alongside Eich Okay, but why would this mean you needed to resign? Totally not tracking, here.

And they left 3 board members remaining, which means they could have blocked Eich's appointment. I don't get it either.
