Similar hack in Craigslist and Google: changing to a black ground saves a few watts per user per year. But this adds up to tons of C02 over all users.
- atonse 13y agoThat ended up being sort-of debunked. LCDs use about the same amount of energy to display blacks as they do whites. Although there are energy savings with CRTs and OLED (don't most android phones use OLED? so that might be the new point of savings)
