Apple is very political. Look at where Tim Cook gives his support and money. It is very liberal and very Democrat. Some of these things are semi-related to business, like "green" environmentally friendly business practices. But not all of them are, like support for Gay Marriage, the very thing this article is referring to (but for the opposite side). Do all the heterosexuals, conservatives, or Republicans who work for Apple resign or ask Tim Cook to resign? No! And I would protest more to a company like Apple supporting causes than to an individual supporting causes in the past. Before he was even Mozilla CEO, right? Prop 8 is old news and his appointment is new. Crazy people.
