- objclxt 13y agoNo, it's not. ACH (which standard for 'automated clearing house') is just a bank transfer - and a slow one at that. Direct Debits in the UK are distinct to bank transfers because they're guaranteed by the bank - you can dispute a direct debit and have your bank refund it, but this is considerably harder (if not impossible) to do with ACH.
