There's a very well funded company in Vancouver (yes, really) that's working on #38 a crunchbase for charities. So far they've linked up all Canadian charities to their platform (US next) and are themselves a registered charity. What's unique is that you can 'donate' to them anytime, get a tax receipt, & decide which charity to give to at a later date. They're called Chimp Fund (Chimp.net) - I've met the founders and contracted for them before.
