I wore a watch in high school. Playing volleyball the summer after I graduated I went up for a block and came down minus the watch. When I showed up at college, there was a clock tower that chimed the quarter hour, and it turned out that was more than enough, so I never replaced the watch. Now I've got a computer in front of me a majority of my waking hours, and a smartphone in my pocket for the times when I don't; _really_ no need for a watch.
