Do people actually use Node in production for serious things? I actually don't know anybody who shipped anything done in Node. Sure, they do side projects or hobby projects, but nothing more than that.

In fact I work at a company which is on target to process more than 2bn events / 1bn page views this year on a node / python based service oriented architecture. I'd say that's a handful more than your average hobby project.
- zorked 13y agoWe're doing 3.5 billion requests a month on Node and I'm sure it's still a small number compared to what other people are doing.
