I so totally agree. But what's the alternative? We all quit? Since Schneier's crypto reputation is not in question, I think it's reasonable to believe that there is a possible statelmate end state. If everyone goes all in on certificate transparency, HSTS, and Cert Pinning, engineers can at least make life miserable on the Surveliance Industrial complex for a little while.
