Also, your family and friends might want to see you before science does whatever with you, and that will cost more than any of us would like to think it will. Funerals aren't cheap, and I was told when buying life insurance to expect all funeral expenses (viewings, whatever is done with the body) to easily be $20k.
- baby 13y agoWait, if my familly wants to bring me to some woods and burn me in a fire, can't they just do it?
- ufo 13y agoYou need a better fire than that if you want to properly cremate someone instead of making some barbecue.
- baby 13y agoThe goal is not to properly cremate the body, just to kind of get rid of it.
- syntheticnature 13y agoLaws on disposal of bodies tend to be fairly strongly-worded for reasons rational and otherwise. I'd check before making such an assumption.
- baby 13y agoI see. Anyway, you don't always have to check laws to do stuff.
- syntheticnature 13y agoTrue. However, if the authorities find out you didn't involve them in dealing with a dead body, they may start with the assumption you didn't want them involved for worse reasons than just saving money.
