I'm actually more knowledgeable about Canada's health infrastructure but I'm pretty sure they share some characteristics.

The heterogenity of healthcare in the U.S. means things like access to patient information ranges from Extensive to the Point of Being Spooky (Kaiser) to "Who are you again?"
