- ChrisClark 13y agoWhich was a really big help, but by the time it was on that Youtube channel it was already #1 on the App Store. It really was word of mouth that got it there. There are whole articles analyzing the Flappy Bird rise. I didn't bookmark any though, but they all seemed to conclude it was the perfect storm of viral awareness, it just spread by word of mouth perfectly.
- vetler 13y agoWho's this strange Norwegian guy?
- MarkTee 13y agoI believe he's talking about PewDiePie, who's actually Swedish.

- codr 13y agoI'd seen the name of course, but had never seen him. Weird.
- owenwil 13y agoI've never understood why people think this guy is interesting. He's just a socially awkward dude that makes loud, strange noises and acts like a child when he plays games. Meh.
- aestra 13y agoIt was mentioned. "As word spread from Reddit to YouTube, playgrounds to office parks, Flappy Bird rose to the Top 10 of the U.S. charts by early January."
