Sorry, but my recent experience has not matched yours, so the fact that this particular project had no library compatibility issues does not mean they no longer exist.
I'm glad you found a project you can use it on. That just doesn't mean much to those of us who are still hitting the same familiar issues with it.
- daGrevis 13y agoYes, libraries that you may need may not be compatible yet. But it is fair to say that situation is getting better. Also, here's a great tool that checks if you can use Python 3: https://caniusepython3.com/ https://caniusepython3.com/ .
- raverbashing 13y agoUnless you depend in a big library that doesn't support Python 3 (and they're getting rare), I would suggest moving Then the ones left behind can be adapted, tested, or alternatives found, and the whole ecosystem can move on. If we keep using Python 2 to be safe nothing will change. Using Django and Python 3 and so far it's been a breeze, with minor bumps.
