Can we ban paywalled articles?
- henryaj 13y agoOpen it in private browsing/Incognito mode and you'll be fine.
- sp332 13y agoPrivate browsing didn't work for me. Just a blank page for 5 seconds, then a full-page ad and no article.
- Bentis2k 13y agoSetting the user agent to Googlebot [1] worked for me, images and all. [1] Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Googlebot/2.1; +http://www.google.com/bot.html http://www.google.com/bot.html)
- nkuttler 13y agoFwiw, I don't get a paywall. Might be one of my ad blocking things.

- sp332 13y agoThat would be fine with me! http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?strip=1&q=cache:http%3A%2F%2Fmag.newsweek.com%2F2014%2F03%2F14%2Fbitcoin-satoshi-nakamoto.html http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?strip=1&q=cache...
- blumkvist 13y agoSo, we don't want advertising and we don't want subscriptions. It seems like we don't know what we want.
- sp332 13y agoI like subscriptions, I just don't care enough about Newsweek to subscribe. Can't we have ads, with a payment option to remove ads? Ars Technica does this https://arstechnica.com/subscriptions/ https://arstechnica.com/subscriptions/
- zache 13y agoJust block cookies from them, it works on most sites with a similar set-up.. Some sites you have to set to remove when you close the browser instead though.
