I don't really bother with these things, for the reasons listed here. I don't like how these concerns are brushed off, as if skepticism about these things means you're afraid of change or new tools or whatever. When these things work they may make your development experience slightly nicer, but when they don't, you'll be sad about it. Just learn Javascript.
