CNN sells Zite to Flipboard
- Touche 13y agotldr; Flipboard is paying CNN 60 mil to do custom magazines for CNN shows.
- sosuke 13y agoBut I love Zite! I have sections dedicated to different programming languages, general software development, birding. I hope they maintain some existence.
- mikeklaas 13y agoDon't worry, we will!
- mikeklaas 13y agoHey all, I'm the CTO of Zite and can answer any questions. Here is our announcement post: http://blog.zite.com/2014/03/05/zite-is-flipping-out/ http://blog.zite.com/2014/03/05/zite-is-flipping-out/
- toggle 13y agoDang! I'm sure they'll discontinue it soon, seeing as how there's no point for both Zite and Flipboard to exist under the same company. I stopped using Zite because it didn't allow you to read things offline, and I think they still haven't added that. But if mobile data isn't a concern for you, I like Zite's interface better than all the rest. It's just so...not gimmicky. (I use Taptu now, which is alright.)
