I was going to say something to this effect, but I think the biggest one is: mathematician. It's like if you're a clothing shop owner you have a good idea what coffee shop owners do, and there are similar parallels for most professions. But not mathematician. Most people haven't the slightest clue what they do. I guess that makes "math teacher" the most misunderstood of all :)
