We teach Ruby. Students learn about:

- looping
- boolean conditionals
- defining/invoking methods
- redschell 13y agoNeat. What lead you to decide on Ruby? I feel like Python used to be the most common beginner language, and maybe it still is, but it really seems like Ruby has gained over the past few years. Which is fine, because it's a great language, but I am curious what gives.
- seashore 13y agoWhen we first started we had an amazing group of volunteers with experience in Ruby. Our focus is project based learning. It's been perfect for this.
- patja 13y agoThe TechCrunch article shows a photo with one of your stickers next to an Arduino and breadboard. Is Arduino part of your curriculum as well?
- seashore 13y agoYes, for one of the projects students work with Arduinos using the dino gem.
