This kind of data would be tremendous treasure trove for future historians :-) Imagine if we had this kind of data on previous periods, we'd be able to infer a lot of how people behaved, what their pastime was, better understand the fashion sense (or lack of it for certain photos apparently)... More seriously, in a way, I think it's good that this happened because I hope that it will be a wake up call to the public opinion so that we might avoid living in a future with no rights to privacy. I'm really grateful that Snowden made the sacrifices he did to give us those information. It's amazing to think of the potential of blackmail over politicians these kind of scheme would give...
