That's true, and it's a good point. Still, there's something to be said for an established user-base. Most of the time one product dominates the market, even though there are many other superior products out there. I've done some reasonably interesting stuff - none of which was for-profit, but also none of which was hugely successful. Turns out marketing is hard!
