I have the same feeling of unease, but what about when the alternative is poverty, which I think is often the case?
- saraid216 13y agoYeah, I'm not exactly going to Take A Stand against it or anything. I understand that The World Is Not Perfect and Someone Has To Do The Dirty Jobs and all of that. But I'm very uncomfortable with seeing a tourism economy promoted or justified. Policy band-aids aren't inherently bad. But if it's still the same band-aid a hundred years later... that's not the "push start" icebraining is talking about. (And we're not a hundred years later yet, so I'm not saying there's definitely a problem or anything.)
