Texas S owner here, people are still getting their cars here despite these restrictions. Here is a pic from May of last year when I picked up mine. I also was not able to put TX sales tax into my loan and had to pay the lump sum when registering the vehicle here. Keep in mind you can now see the S at the service center and take it for a test drive but you need to make an appointment. The problem is they can't (or not supposed to) help you with buying or financing there, you have to do it over the phone and on the website.
