As far as I understand, it's a decision that PG made fairly early on. HN allows YC companies to post job openings without comments, flagging, etc...
All other non-YC jobs are quickly sent to the dead bin.
- davidw 17y agoNo flagging is fine, but what I was wondering is if PG made that decision based on data (people behaving badly) or on the supposition that people might say nasty things in the comments, or something else?
- mahmud 17y agoWhen I was freelancing, I always told the client to take down the ad once I got the gig. Maybe some people are just sending out a resume with one hand and flagging the post with the other?
- Xichekolas 17y agoNo flagging makes sense, I think what some of us would like is to comment (for questions/clarifications/etc).
