Perhaps the phone app interaction model causes undue mental taxation. Perhaps better integration with the OS would allow people to get over the mental barriers of having to scroll through 3 pages and decypher 30 app names to perform a task on their phone, or a more feature rich phone os that didn't leave so many basic features up to app developers.
