Now, that's a slam. Anywhere in Africa, get it?
Look our use of language is incredibly important, and the sooner people stop seeing and hearing the negative cultural associations between "the story" and "color," the sooner they won't have to be afraid of non-scary things. And yes, "Mexican" is associated with a race amongst many in our population.
There are better ways to word something like this.
I say all this because I care about the EFF.
Also, forgive me if my being offended is misplaced, I can be wrong. But I'll never really know will I? And that would be the sad truth of it.

- nknighthb 13y agoAll you're doing is demonstrating your own preconceived and wrong notions of Africa and Mexico, and your willingness to adopt the opinions of racists and xenophobes as your own. Mexican nationals are Mexicans, I defy you to tell them otherwise to their faces. I don't think you'll get the reaction you expect when you inform them that their nationality is a slur they should disown.
