When I was maybe six years old or so, my mom was taking a calculus class, and had this book checked out from the library: http://www.math.sjsu.edu/~swann/mcsqrd.html http://www.math.sjsu.edu/~swann/mcsqrd.html I didn't understand the mathematics, but I thought the cartoon characters were delightful. They made me want to learn math, and I could hardly wait until getting to calculus myself, so I could actually understand the book.
