Every time something new comes out from Google or Microsoft, I just wait to see where is the catch. There is always the catch.

  Now Google wants to index whole physical world, with help of millions of smartphones.

  I guess the catch in this would be that they get to integrate the public scans with Google Maps and/or help train Google Glass about the surroundings.
