I don't think that's true. I was in a store this morning where the cashier was talking to tech support because she didn't know how to restart the new win8 computer. All the hidden menus (eg charm bar) were making it very unintuitive for her. A lot of win8 is not easy to figure out by yourself if you've only used win 7 before.
